Bell to mark death of HM Queen Elizabeth II

A bell will toll at 12noon tomorrow (Friday 9th September) to mark the death of Queen Elizabeth II; this is following guide lines from central and national ringing circles.
Messenger Photography Competition closing soon!
A quick reminder that the closing date for the Messenger magazine photography competition is coming up soon – Monday 12th September. Full details were published in the July issue of the Messenger, and a reminder this month but in case you missed it, the key points are:
- This years categories are *Nature *Animals and*HM The Queens Platinum Jubilee.
- Entries can be any size and submitted to the Editor by email to [email protected] or post to The Editor, The Old Farmhouse, Mountfield Park Farm, TN32 5LE
Some excellent prizes have been donated – including an Under 16 prize.
We know there are many talented photographers in Dallington so do get your entries in this weekend!

Update from South East Water
There has been a update from South East Water on the hosepipe ban and the official drought status.
Addition to agenda for DPC planning meeting 16.08.22
There will be an additional item on the agenda for the above meeting on 16.08.22, 7.30pm in Dallington Village Hall, under the planning applications item.
There is an amended plan for application RR/2022/1556/P – there appears to be less roof lights and the left hand gable has been changed from a curved zinc roof to match the “squarer” looking right hand gable.
