High Weald AONB Management Plan Consultation
From the High Weald AONB – there are links to their Biennial Review and to the survey for their 5-year management plan, to which all are invited to take part.
Dear Parish or Town Councillor,
Please see below some information on our current High Weald AONB Management Plan consultation; we’d be very grateful if you could share the survey link and accompanying information with your residents, please, as we would appreciate their feedback.
We have also just published our Biennial Review, covering the financial years 2020-21 and 2020-21. The report sets out our activities and achievements over this time period, including how we dealt with the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. The report can be downloaded here so again please feel free to share as you see fit.
Many thanks,

Have your say on the future of the High Weald AONB
We are currently seeking feedback as part of our work towards the next High Weald AONB Management Plan, which is due to be published in 2024.
A draft version of the next Plan will be available for formal public consultation in late Spring 2023.
In the meantime, we are keen to gather early feedback on some of the new topics we are hoping to include in the next Plan. Your comments are important; they can help us shape the next Management Plan and how the High Weald AONB is managed for the next 5 years.
Please find a link below to a quick survey on the proposed new content – you do not have to be familiar with the current Management Plan to take part in this survey, however you can access the current High Weald AONB Management Plan here if you wish. The survey is open until the end of November 2022.

The Messenger Magazine PARTY (and AGM) this Friday
All readers of the Messenger Magazine are warmly invited to the annual party (and AGM), which will be held THIS FRIDAY (30th September) – starting at 7.00pm in Brightling Village Hall. (Please note correct time is 7.00 not 7.30 as previously announced)
There will be FREE DRINKS (alcoholic and soft) and nibbles. This is primarily a social occasion, an opportunity to have a relaxing chat with neighbours and others in Brightling, Dallington, Mountfield and Netherfield. It is also our AGM (Annual General Meeting) so there will be some brief formalities (very brief, we promise!) including electing the Committee that runs the magazine, and an opportunity to discuss the magazine if you wish and perhaps make suggestions for making it even better.
The Committee hopes that as many people as possible will come. It’s an opportunity to show your support for the magazine or tell us what could make it better – or just a relaxing evening with a glass of wine or something.
Hope to see you on Friday.
