6.1 Pavilion Ceiling damage, actions to be taken, the pavilion will remain closed until repairs are done.

6.4 To discuss the hedge (Sugar Loaf side), the Tree Warden reports that it needs attention and is investigating the possibility of a Lund grant.

7. Dog Control in 2023 – Rother District Council Consultation

To discuss and agree a response to this consultation, deadline 31.07.23.

8. Grants

8.1 To consider the grant request from Dallington PCC (£750.00) for maintenance of the Church grounds, tree work and upkeep of machinery.

8.2 To consider the grant request from Dallington VHC (£100.00) towards the purchase of a projector in the Village Hall, to be used for all organisations who require it.

9. Planning

9.1 No Dallington planning applications for consideration.

9.2 Any other planning matters for discussion.

10. Enforcement

10.1 No Dallington items on RDC’s most recent enforcement list.

Dallington Recreation Ground – Pavilion Closed

We have had to close the pavilion at the Dallington Recreation Ground due to extensive ceiling damage. We are presently obtaining quotes for repairs and it will be available for use as soon as possible.
For future use of the pavilion and/or car park, please contact me on – [email protected]

Users of the pavilion and car park will be asked to sign a hiring agreement.
The field is still open for residents and visitors.

  • Installation of galvanised pedestrian gate adjacent car park gate.
  • Replace the shiplap base on pavilion.
  • The entire pavilion needs a coat of creosote type varnish.
  • The waste behind the pavilion needs clearing and disposed of safely.
  • The old goal posts need safe disposal.
  • The contents of the container must be looked at, presently an old, defunct mover and safe disposal considered.

Weather forecast good for the Coronation Big Lunch Picnic Sunday 7th May!

screesnhot showing weather forecastIt may be rainy today but tomorrow’s forecast is looking good for tomorrow’s Coronation Big Lunch Picnic at the Dallington Recreation Ground  – Sunday 7th May – gates open from 12.30.

Bring your own picnic and join in the celebrations with your neighbours – there will be games and other activities including a cake competition for adults and children, and special coronation packs of wildflower seeds for the children to scatter along the edge of the field to give us a show in future years  (more details at https://dallington.org.uk/coronation-big-lunch-picnic-sunday-7th-may/

And todays rain didn’t stop our intrepid volunteers getting the site ready for the big day – decorations include the wonderful bunting made by the children of Dallington School.
