“It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our Mother, Daphne Jewell, who passed away on 11th March 2026, aged 91.
Daphne was a much loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The funeral service will take place at 11.00 on 31st March 2026 at St Giles Church Dallington. All are warmly invited to join the family after the service for a reception at Dallington Old School Hall. There will then be a Service of Committal at the Wealden Crematorium at 3pm.
Donations, if desired, may be made to St Michael’s Hospice, through the funeral directors Arthur C Towner.”
Daphne, you were such a beautiful lady inside and out. You were one of my mums best friends. Dad and I loved visiting you as years went by. Not just for your cheese scones but for your conversation and humour.
I shall miss our catch ups.
Hope you are now having a great catch up with them all.
Our love and heartfelt best wishes to Howard, Christopher and Kevin and all your family.
May memories of you become warm hugs for them and us as time goes by.
