Please disregard my previous post (yesterday) about the Jubilee Celebration meeting on 06.04.22.
There has been a “mix-up” about dates and the meeting is
ON 30.03.22 AT 7PM IN THE VILLAGE HALL.
We hope as many Dallington residents as possible will come along as this is certainly a “once in a lifetime event,” and we hope to make the Celebration as memorable as possible.
Irene – Parish Clerk

Coronavirus update (2) corrected (22.03.20)
Sending again, very cleverly all the links went straight to the RDC planning website! No idea how that happened, must be gremlins in the works. Links will work correctly now.
I hope you are all keeping well. I’ve had lots of offers from volunteers to do shopping/collect medication etc. I’ve also noticed that friends and neighbours are really looking out for each other. I’ve compiled a list of volunteers (still coming in) – so if you need any help, please, please contact me – 01424 838414 – [email protected]
The NHS are sending out information to those most at risk, telling them to totally self-isolate – so our kind volunteers may well be needed soon.
Just a reminder – only take advice from trusted websites/information. You can trust the links below

PARISH COUNCIL BUSINESS
All parish councils are in “limbo” at the moment, but most business will go on. It is a legal requirement that all parish council meetings are held in public and virtual meetings are illegal. We are waiting for instructions from the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) and hopefully virtual meetings will be allowed during this emergency.
Planning applications – we have a delegation system for these to be responded to outside of meetings. I will continue to post all applications on this website, with full links to the particular application on the RDC planning website and ask that if you wish to comment, go straight to the RDC planning website.
General Dallington issues – please continue to contact me via email if you have concerns about enforcement, road conditions, flooding, footpaths etc.
We took Alfie for a walk in Darwell yesterday, we walk Alfie 2 or 3 times a week there, and for the first time in 30 years I had trouble parking the car – it was absolutely packed. A lovely walk and met a few people dog walking. Everyone was very sensible, except the dogs who have no idea of personal space!
Alfie at about 9 months old, looking very scruffy – just before his first grooming!
Look after yourselves and keep in touch.

Corona Virus update 1 (19.03.20)
Hello everyone, I hope you are keeping well and following Government advice. Please stay in touch with your friends and neighbours by phone, email, text, WhatsApp, Facebook etc.
If you are able to help out by doing a little shopping, collecting medication etc., can you let me know by email. Your contact details will not be published on line and will be deleted when the emergency is over.
I went to Tesco at Ravenside (Bexhill) today which was a complete waste of time. Empty shelves everywhere, not a potato to be seen (or frozen chips), milk, eggs, butter etc. I won’t even go into toilet rolls!
However, the Netherfield Stores and Post Office is its usual bright and friendly self, they have good stocks and very sensibly are limited the amounts people can buy. Several kind locals have offered to help them out with deliveries. Click on the link below for details (they also make great coffee!)

I have also heard that Rushlake Green Stores will deliver, but cannot confirm.
Look after yourselves
