DRAFT MINUTES OF THE DALLINGTON RECREATION GROUND MEETING HELD ON 17th MARCH 2026

1. Apologies for absence
None required.
2. Accuracy of the minutes of the previous meeting
RESOLVED: that the draft minutes of the meeting held on 18.03.25 were an accurate record of the proceedings. Councillor Gray proposed and the Chair seconded. The minutes were signed by the Chair.
3. RAYNET use of DRG
The hiring agreement has been signed by RAYNET and the Dallington Clerk (Proper Officer).
4. Review of 2025-26
Things have been fairly quiet over the past year. RAYNET have used the DRG a couple of times.
5. Works/actions needed 2026-17
- It was proposed that the small bench could be used as a resting place on the path from the car park to the pavilion. All were in agreement.
- The car park and path need maintenance, weeding/verges etc.
- There will be an informal meeting at the DRG on 12.04.26 to check all issues.
- There was a discussion about a Summer Solstice Event at the DRG. The two previous Winter Solstice Events have been very poorly attended. This is understandable as they tend to clash with Carol Services, other Christmas Events and the weather is always problematic. This will be discussed at the DPC Annual meeting in May and it was suggested that it starts at 1.00pm with the gates open at 12.30pm.
