Dallington Recreation Ground (Sugar Loaf Field)

Dallington Recreation Ground (often referred to as the Sugar Loaf  Field) on the B2096  is a registered charity set up for the benefit of Dallington residents and of which the Parish Council is the sole trustee.   We would like to encourage all residents to make full use of this amenity.  Enquiries about one-off or regular use of the field should be directed initially to the Parish Clerk , Irene Marchant Telephone: 01424 838414 Email: clerk@dallington.org.uk.

Dallington Post Office Stores

postbox2We are very fortunate that this village still has its own shop,  the Dallingon Post Office Stores, located on the main road and run by Val and Sabio de Souza. The Swan Inn, Woods Corner

Mobile Library

Mobilelibrary ESCCEast Sussex County Council has recently voted to withdraw the Mobile Library Service. See http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-sussex-43303795  This fortnightly service will be a loss to many residents.   Instead ESCC will offer a home library service for those unable to travel.  The Dallington Old School Village Hall is also planning to start a regular Book Exchange in the hall – more information in due course.

Broadband

Most homes in Dallington have broadband access but it is currently relatively slow. There are plans to improve the quality, reach and speed of rural broadband services in East Sussex – please click this link for latest news and information.
